Does anyone know, if you take on two children from same family do you fill out seperate contracts for each child?

What is included in your contract? Is there anything thats individual to each child?

If its just fees, holiday sickness etc i would only do one.

But if you include medication and specific care for the individual you may need two.

two contracts.

Are you doing sibling different rates? If you are make it clear that it is for the older one otherwise you will end up out of pocket.

Katymac · 02/05/2006 20:39

If it is for NCMA contracts you must do 2

ThePrisoner · 02/05/2006 23:00

I've only ever done one contract. My rates are always the same hourly rate (ie. no sibling discount).

Who says that we have to do separate contracts? It's not something anyone has ever said to me before (my networking group are fine with it).

On page 13, under the title "caring for children form the same family"in book2 "Running your Childminding Business" from NCMA (05/06 version)

It says 'a separate contract should be filled in for each child'

So if you are using NCMA contracts you must write one for each child

boo70 · 03/05/2006 13:34

Thanks for advice just finished preparing two contracts, hand is killing me!!!!!! lots of writing!!!!!

Oooh, they're 'aving a larf! Like I haven't got enough to do!!

I've got several families I mind for with 2+ children in each - despite having being told that what I am doing is fine, I am definitely going to check with my network co-ordinator tomorrow to find out if I'll get roasted over an open fire if I continue doing it this way.

I reckon it's just a ploy by the NCMA to get me to buy a few more (hundred) contracts! Paperwork is the absolute bane of my life.

LoveMyGirls · 04/05/2006 22:10

do you have to buy them from NCMA or can you photocopy them?

jellyjelly · 05/05/2006 08:21

Dont think you can as they are not carbonated and they wont be legal.

ayla99 · 05/05/2006 16:14

You don't have to use NCMA contracts, I did my own in Word. Much cheaper, and I can add various sections if I need to for shift workers etc.

Does mean I'm not allowed to use the NCMA logo on my paperwork though, and I can't use the NCMA legal representation. Can still use the helpline though.
