Hi just heard about the aupair arrangement for the first time. Had no idea what it is before. I have three children and am looking for help as i have severe back pain issues and cant handle all the household work school runs and three kids. How much can i expect from her how much do i pay her for how many hours?

an aupair lives with you, so you need to offer her a room in your house. Then they work 25 hours per week (light house work, school pick ups, playing, helping with breakfast, etc). They earn about £80 per week. They also babysit once or twice per week if you are going out. They need time off to go to English lessons, and generally, if you are in a big city, you'll contribute towards their transport costs.

There are lots of variations on what people offer, but that's the basics.

I pay my au pair 110 per week. However she does more cleaning than standard (her request that I should get rid of cleaners and she would do it). I have three: 7,5,2. The two year is at nursery during the day. So her main role is looking after my boys getting them ready in the morning, eve plus school runs. She is contracted to babysit twice a week but we rarely go out!

She has a car for her use and we're pretty relaxed about her using for short distances for personal use.
