Any idea which would be the best buggy or pushchair for two little ones? Ages vary as mindees come and go. I've got Graco Tandem but find it very heavy as I'm a bit arthritic at the mo!! (That makes me sound so old, not the hip, swinging chick I so obviously am!!)
I really like the look of Phil and Teds but I'm bit scared of that price, or would it be good investment? DD has Bertini Shuttle for her 2 so will inherit that in time

Marco Sky? or the Cosatto Duet Lite both look good. The Mothercare Hoxton is very similiar to the Cosatto.

Moonlady, I'm really sorry to hijack this, but i have a quick question about tandem buggys.

I have a side by side one, but my 18mth mindee keeps hitting and scratching the 1 year old. I thought about getting a tandem, but wondered if there would a weight limit on the child using the seat at the back.
I posted this on the products page but no one answered.

Sorry again!

zooper? cheap and nice to use. You can also use it as a single because front seat clips on and off. I got mine from ebay for less than £100 inc delivery. I am a childminder and can easily fit 2 x heavy 2 year olds in it and also use it to take my 3 month old and a 2 year old! highly versatile and nice to push except it has static wheels so you have to learn to steer from back but i love mine and it folds flat so fits in most boots including a small fiat uno!!

\link{http://www.preciouslittleone.com/acatalog/ZPEDSC.html\here is one!}

lunavix · 22/03/2006 20:25

if you want a marco sky I'm selling one!

MoonLady · 22/03/2006 20:41

I'm going to have a look in large Mothercare store on Friday for an idea of weight, steerability etc. I need to lessen strain on wrist and hands. Is Marco only sold on line?
I like the Bertini very much but dd would never forgive me as she enjoys the attention she gets when she uses it in town.
lunavix...thank you, will bear that in mind

I have Jane Powertwin which I love. Heavy to lift in and out of car but very light and easy to push. It did take me a little while to get used to the three wheels but I can push it with one hand whilst holding almost three year old's hand, when necessary. It is a bit expensive though, bought mine off e-bay but wasn't cheap even then.

Booh · 23/03/2006 08:54

lunavix - i would be interested in the marco sky?

nicm · 23/03/2006 09:41

hi moonlady. i'm a registered childminder and have a kiwi explorer (old e3) and love it. it really is the best pram i have used. i can use it when i only have one and then the days i have 2 i can just clip the seat on and i have a double. i ordered mine from rodney at kiwi-kid.com and wasn't as expensive as buying it from here. i would say it was an investment as i've had mine for 3 years now and it's still going strong. hth

MoonLady · 23/03/2006 16:27

nicm, thank you, had a look and very impressed at prices!Grin? looked at Valco 2005 Runabout Stroller & Toddler Seat Winter Package. Would it fit on a bus easily?
How much did it cost for shipping?

OP posts:
nicm · 24/03/2006 13:09

hi moonlady, i can't remember about shipping but i don't think it was that much and still worked out far cheaper than buying from here. you could email rodney and he will give you a shipping price. he's really nice and very helpful. i saw a marco pram in a shop yesterday and wouldn't recommend them. i tried to tip it up empty and it was really heavy and there didn't seem to be much room for the baby/child at the back. also the handles seemed really tall. hth

MoonLady · 25/03/2006 00:07

nicm Just emailed. Didn't get to look at buggies, had emergency hair day so went to hairdressers instead. Going to Caerleon to Roman Baths tomorrow so could try Sunday...no cookin for family as impossible to get good food for veggies on sundays esp Mothers Day...that was a rant, blame the G&T!!
sorry, will let you know when I hear from them Smile

Hi moonlady I have an e3 for sale at the moment it's a fantastic buggy, ideal for childminding as it can be used from birth to five. It's in very good condition and has lots of accessories.

MoonLady · 25/03/2006 20:59

I'll sign up to cat in a couple of hours, if you are signed up too. Am having family over for lunch tomorrow and house in chaos, so will reward my hard work with MN session later, Then you can give me all the details, Many thanks ML

Oh thankyou Bonkerz Smilei have been looking for a pram just like that, i clicked on your link and have ordered one! hooray Grin
I am a c/m and need a pram for dd(9 weeks)and nephew (1 yr)and i don't want two buggys cluttering up the house/car.
I love the e3 but the price is too steep whereas the zooper is just right.
I will keep you posted as to how i get on with it wheels and all (at least you go straight instead of snakeing down the road with wobbly wheels)Blush
nicm thanks for the advice too i checked out the valco runabout but unless i converted the currency wrong its nearly as expensive as the e3 its $505.00 (£289.81) + postage. but it was still worth looking at to further my options which i wouldn't have had if it wasn't for you!
Many thanks ppl i'm walking on air now and can't wait for it to arrive.Grin

kidsrus · 29/03/2006 00:24

just looked on ebay and discovered there are several prams with child seats if anyone wants to know theres emmaljunga, bertini and brio make one as well. At the beginning of my quest i thought there was only the e3 now i'm much better informed thanks to the web Grin
