Grin.
Help pelase.
My 2 ideas are
1 - blue A3 paper, stick green area over bottom 1/4.
Cut out tree from brown A4 card, stick on to A3 background, add sticky autumn leaves to it.

2- same as with A3 paper background
Paint tree on top of the blue/green background. Stick real autumn leaveson to it

or 3 - any other suggestions?

Hand cut outs for leaves?

Real leaves can be a devil to stick - been there, done that!! You could try getting the kids to crush them up and sprinkle them on like glitter.

Another way we've done it is to draw round child's forearm and hand, leaving tips of fingers open: that's the trunk and branches. Then have a pallet of reds, browns, oranges and purples and they dip their fingertips in and make fingertip leaves. Encourages the messy-play aversion kids to get involved, I've noticed.

I did it by painting the forarm and hand in paint and asking the children to open their fingers wide open as it went on the paper. This was the trunk and branches

We then glued on fresh leaves or printed the leaves (using leaves dipped in paint)
