Is anyone else studying for this as I'm starting to get so bombarded by it all I'm starting to get a mental block. I'm currently doing unit 3.3 is anyone also doing the same as I'd be pleased to hear from anyone on the same level

yes, although not done anything on it yet, have overdue work and a session tomorrow night where I will probably get told off!

I'm doing mine on line and it's more confusing then I ever thought it would be

What is unit 3.3? Different providers lay it out differently but if you know what the criteria is we could try help :)

I have posted a few times about the CYPW, I have Module 3 left to do and it's driving me mad.

IT'S the Understand how to safeguard the well being of children & young people
I've done all the Children's acts etc. It's a big unit. I've got it all there I'm just getting bogged down with putting it in word format. I have been given alot of scenarios to do. Would be good to get some advice. It's been a while since I was at school.
Thanks

Hm. I haven't done that yet but on my course a few years back I had to do an outside examination on the topic for it to be classed as a pass, not sure what I'll be doing for it this time!

If you feel bogged down with it then I'll say just to look at them in order and forget about the rest of it whilst you tackle that one, if you struggle with that scenario, discard it into a 'later' pile and move onto the next one and then once you're finished, go through the later pile and if there are still some you're struggling with, ask google! Grin Silkysteps is good too.

I have been getting bogged down on the whole sodding course-- too and would not have coped unless I just pretended the rest didn't exist whilst I had a tick-list next to me so I could work my way through them. It has meant that some tasks have been on the back burner for weeks whilst I email tutors and go through silkysteps/google but they've got there in the end!

Are there any bits in particular that you're struggling with atm?

ELBE · 23/08/2012 10:06

It's the questions mainly. I can do activities or what my tutor has set out. I think I'm just going to anwer all the criteria as I was told I could do what ever way suits me. It's a big unit and it is all repeating itself. Ive probably written too much. I also struggle to try and put it my words. Such as the acts etc. I know that when you are pointed out case reports etc you can't write it differently. It's harder then I thought. I've been doing it for days my hubbys going mad as I don't talk to him.

The whole course is winding me up no end. Don't worry. You're not alone! PM me if you need a hand, I'm on the 5th and final module now. Finally. Grin

confusedpixie · 23/08/2012 18:24

DW, you'll get good at repeating yourself as the course goes on! Grin

ELBE · 23/08/2012 21:18

Thanks for all your replies. It's hard with an on line course as you don't have anyone to talk to. If you are at college it's a bit different.

Sorry about my last thread it's a bit jumbled

Yeah, mines online too, it's a nightmare! I think most people I have spoken to about it have done theirs online tbh, who can fit any classes in between looking after kids? Grin

ELBE · 23/08/2012 21:36

I have until Monday to complete it. I just hope I can.
