I currently look after my own daughter (19mo) and a mindee (19mo) and have a potential customer coming round on Wednesday to discuss care of her children 3 1/2 and 5 for drop of both then a pre school collection then school collection.

Would you charge for the time they are at school / pre school?

I would charge a full day fees for the preschool child. I charge while the child is attending preschool.
Before and after school fee for the school child.
Good luck with your visitors!!

If a child is at school i charge just for the hours they are with me
If a child is at pre-school i charge for the whole day

Does the parent want full time or term time only???

I charge a set rate of £5 for when a child is at nursery. Then you are being paid for the time but because you are not actually working with the child that's why I reduce it. Then in holidays it goes Back up to normal hourly rates.

Thanks everyone - you have confirmed what I was thinking. I'm not sure if she wants holidays too - I hope she does as this would be better financially.
