Employer's Liability Insurance????? For nanny employers

I've found out I should have employer's liability insurance in case our nanny has an accident whilst working for us.
But I have no idea where to get it from?
The names that come up when I search i have never heard of before so I"m a bit nervous.

Can anyone recommend an insurance company that offers this?

go to an insurance broker, they will know which companies can help.

Hi Bluebear - my home insurance covered me under Domestic Employees HTH

Hello Mishmash! My domestic insurance is useless. Grrrrr. I rang them and all they said was that if I hired a nanny I would lose my theft protection unless there was very obvious evidence that the house was broken into, and that I would lose my accidental damage cover...not a nanny friendly policy.
I think I might have to change my home insurance to a different company.

I would go with Marks and Spencer-they provide employer's liability insurance as part of their househols policy and they are very professional and great to deal with. hth

I think you will find with all policies that theft will be excluded unless there is a break-in - theft must always be "violent or forcible entry from the premises"
