Yet another puncture this morning on the school run.

A drawing pin this time.
I feel like I'm being followed by the puncture zombie.

I desperately want a Donkey but how impractical are they? I get buses a lot (in London).
I've always had Bugaboos for my own children and never once got a puncture.
Side by side though....

As a Childminder/Nanny, what would you recommend?

Also, I'm going to have to sell this heap of junk. It's got mould on the covers though, can I get rid of it somehow?

i recommend you put tyre slime in the phil and teds wheels

we too had a few too many incidents with puntures (and yes its almost impossible to push then... nightmare) but once the slime was in it never ever got another puncture

(I used P&T nannying, now i have a mountain buggy for my own baby, and we put tyre slime in before she was born... saves so much hassel!)

I have a spare front and back wheel which I keep in the footwell ready to click on now - have been stranded somewhere inconvenient with my P&T too many times too!

I'll buy the wheels off you if you have a Sport! (Will have spares for my spares!)

What is this tyre slime?

I tried that slime stuff but I think I did it wrong as I ended up sliming my living room walls Angry

If you find a friendly bike shop they should be able to do the slime for you.
I used to work at a baby store (yes, i got very excited at the mention of buggaboo - they're my favourite!) and we always referred wheel trouble to the bike store. They use it there too.

I presume you are looking a twin pushchairs (side by side or tandem)
In terms of hardwearing pushchairs, you'd be looking ideally at a Quinny (I have heard rumours about twin versions) or, like you mention, a BuggaBoo - these are designed for "offroading" and we were selling them as the pushchairs to jog with, go on the beach with, climb mountains with, fight crime with etc. They really are your most hardwearing choice. However, Buggaboos, although awesome, are more expensive then my car.

Another option is an iCandy Pear (the iCandy twin version) which is also quite pricey or the Out n About nipper which is, again, an "outdoorsy", crime fighting machine. www.babyplanetonline.co.uk/6111_col/Out-n-About-Nipper-Double-360-Degrees-Pushchair

If not, look at getting yourself a bog standard fold away buggy - with hard wheels - not as comfy to push but you can't puncture hard plastic wheels!
