Mindee eats me out of house and home

I've got a young lad, age 9 for after school and school holidays. I told mum he will get snack after school and she is to provide lunch for full days. This is included in price, I charge £3.50 per hour. He is very active and always asking for food. My idea of a snack is toast and an apple. He is constantly asking for sandwiches, biscuits, wraps...anything going really. Basically I end up feeding him a lot more than I expected. He's healthy, just a growing boy with a huge appetite. If I leave out fruit he will easily eat 5 or 6 apples...

WWYD?

Thanks, some really good advice there. I did show mum my policy on healthy eating, but she thought it was a bit of a joke really, as the only fruit he will eat are apples and he will not drink water. I make my own child snacks like beans on toast, eggs on toast, cereal etc. from the suggested menu of "adventures in foodland" but this mindee wont eat any of that except the cereal, so I will maybe stick with that, but any time I've gave him cereal he has asked for more (and it was a huge bowl!). I know I sound like a bit of a skinflint, and he is a growing boy. Last night he did arrive with a big bag of crisps though after me telling him the other day he wasn't getting crisps, so maybe just saying no is the way to go and mum will provide!

I
Supply all food that way there are no arguments over who has what I discourage parents giving children sweets crisps etc there is nothing worse than one child eating sweets etc while all the others are having fruit. I would let him have cereal but say this us it now till mum comes. He is a growing lad yes but one large bowl of cereal is quite enough. Give him plenty of things to keep him busy and he will forget about foodGrin
