I have been referred here by others.

Do you have any suggestions?

ABC Everest which is a double three wheeler with an additional seat on top, expensive if bought new (has to be imported from New Zealand or Australia. Other alternative is something similar made by Lots of Babies called the T3 Jogger, this has the additional seat at the front over the front wheel. I haven't used either but keep on looking as may need one next year for young minded children. Wouldn't recommend the Obaby triple buggy as that is very wide & heavy to push & you can't get it through standard doors or along narrow pavements.

Thanks, oh, I've just shuddered at the thought of trying to get through doors and down shopping aisles Sad

Hmmm... I am also looking for a triple... I am bound at the moment by the double and want to look after another little one and be able to go for walks... will watch this post!

Nursery have the Obaby ones, more of an umbrella style but the backs go completely flat so might be suitable from birth? You can get matching fleeces and cosy toes which would make it nice and comfy for the twins. Congrats btw!!

The ABC adventure buggy is FAB! We have the double with single top seat.
It is lovely to push. Quite tall but you can see around it and we have had no trouble fitting through doors so far. We tend to swap the DC around on a daily basis so they all get a chance to be up top and face the pusher.

It sounds like you are simmilar in age gap as my youngest 3. DS 2 was 14mth when DTs were born. They are now 2.2 yrs and DTs were 1yr on sat. The seats are nice and roomy and seem comfy. I would most definitely recomend this pushchair to anyone who was looking for an easy to push practial pushcahir for 3/4 DCs. My Dbro has the single with top seat and bought it over from NZ with him a few months ago and we attatched the double top seat to my double bottom and i managed to push it with his chubby 18mth old and disabled 4yr old and my then 10mth twins with out any worries.... over our farmland!!

It is expensive to import from NZ but well worth the expense. You can pick them up from time to time on Ebay and can always then order any extras from NZ if needed.

Like most offroad pushchairs designed in NZ it realy is a very good quality solid sturdy pushchair....... and im not just saying that cause im a kiwiGrin.

Bugaboo Donkey with buggy board or sling is what we did and I could not recommend it too highly.
We have 16 months between our older one and our baby twins. Initially, when the babies are little you can put one into a sling, one into the pram carrycot and the toddler into the pram childseat. Then when the twins are older, the toddler will be big enough for the buggy board and the twins can go into the two child seats.
The Donkey is only 1 inch wider than the Phil&Ted and the same width as a standard wheelchair, so it's really not THAT bad for getting into shops etc. It's also highly modular and parent or outward facing, so you can set it up however you want (eg toddler and baby facing Mum, toddler facing front and baby facing Mum, babies facing Mum and toddler on buggy board, toddler in mono-seat and shopping basket attachment on (if someone else has the twins)). Adjusting and swapping chairs etc is simply clicking on and off and it's superbly easy to fold away.
We have found it to be brilliant.
Downside is they're pricey, although they're now coming onto eBay as secondhand ones.
I assume you have a very wide doorway if you're looking at any of these prams, but do measure it (and your front gate, if you have one) - just in case!

I use the T3 jogger. I can get through doorways and round shops. But give yourself plenty of time to do anything because you get stopped at least 5 times a day and stared at constantly!!!
I have heard the words " are they triplets" a million times. The children are 8months, 18months and 26months. They all have different parents and look nothing like each other!!!
On the plus side i have fantastically toned arms and i cant wait for the sun so i can show them off.

I have an ABC single with various seats to attach!

I have a single reclining seat, a static toddler seat and a double reclining seat.

Last week I used it for 2 x 3yr olds and 1 x 1yr old on two days then another two days I had 2 x 1yr olds, a 2yr old and 3yr old.

I have bought and sold quite a few combinations on eBay over the last year so that I can have all the bits that I need for my cm setting.

Prices vary so it's worth watching a few. I'd definitely recommend having a reclining top seat as your 1yr old still has the option to sleep if y're out and about.

if you can collect from somerset there is a double abc everest with toddler seat for £450 collection only on ebay atm

Hi everyone,

Sorry for the late reply, have been uncharacteristically busy this week/weekend.

Thanks for all recommendations, I really like the look (and sound) of the abc adventure buggy, so I'm looking into getting one, the fee's for getting it imported are a bit much, but I'm one of those people who'll pay it as I think it would be worth it.

Thanks lyndie, I'm over initial shock and panicking now, just need to buy everything Grin

Ooh - one in Somerset, I'll look at that.

Thanks

I'd definitely recommend getting one with a reclining top seat. The static seat is fine for a quick trip out with an older child but has been no good if any of my mindees need a nap.

LadyLillyWilliamSnowflake · 11/06/2012 13:18

duly noted Grin
