Do you need to get parents to sign registers. I have in the past, but I,ve got a bit behind and wondering if you all do this.

I am thinking about cutting down my PAPERwork and was wondering if any of you store things electronically rather than doing lots of paperwork. For example I use to print copies of my policies and procedures for all my contract parents, I now email them to save time, paper and ink. I also email my invoices too.

Any time saving tips, welcomed. I am looking at saving myself time and money without lowering the standard I am providing my parents.

Thank you in advance. xx

I email policies and invoices too. I don't get parents to sign attendance registers - I just complete it myself. Not sure if this is right though as I am newly registered and haven't had a grading inspection yet.

Runoutofideas thanks. Welcome to cm'ing! How are you finding life as a cm? I know the process and costs have changed since I started (4 yrs this Sept).

Anyone not getting parents to sign register?

Parents don't sign my in-and-out register, but they do sign the accident book, especially for headbumps. I email everything except the permissions slips, including all the child-information forms, invoices, photos, policies - everything.

Same as Octavia, ofsted inspector said it was ok for me to sign register as long as I was accurate as to correct drop and pick up times.

Yes I get them to sign accident books and if any medicine has been given.

My 'parents' dont sign anything apart from accident/incident/medicine records and,of course, contracts and permission letters.Ofsted have never picked me up on it.
