My 2 grandchildren without being registered?
I M currently registered and have been c-ming for over 15 years but I've had enough of Ofsted and the excessive paperwork.
I care for my 2 grandchildren and 2 more children.
One of my dds claims help via CTC but the other doesn't.
If I stopped my registration, would my dds lose any help?

Thanks.

You can look after them but I'm not sure you can be paid for it if you give up your registration, and if your DD is getting childcare help in her CTC that will stop if she's not using a registered provider

Might be wrong but although you need to be registered for your daughter to claim and for you to be paid, I don't think Ofsted inspect if you only have your relatives to look after. Sounds too good to be true, someone tell me different?

If you looked after them at your daughters house you could be like a nanny, but for your daughter to be able to use childcare vouchers to pay you you would have to be a nanny registered with ofsted.- need to have first aid, and your own nanny insurance (mine is £70 per year) and then some type of childcare qualifications. Being a nanny registered with ofsted is nothing like being a registered childminder you dont have to have loads of paperwork etc.

Yes, to be able to use CTC they have to use an approved/registered provider.

Could you charge a fee your DD who currently claims CTC a fee which she could afford without claiming CTC?
