Hi there.
Has any one been in the situation where they care for a child 1 hour a week?
I will be looking after 3 siblings for this time. 2 of the aged under 5 years.
What paperwork do I need to keep?
Any advice welcome - thanks.

Some more details may be needed... for example are you currently registered as a childminder, a nanny, or anything else? Are you caring for any other children, or are these the only children for whom you provide care? Do you have public liability insurance (check your policy with regard to what paperwork your insurer requires you to have)?

Thanks nannynick.
Yes I am a registered childminder, so have all the related paper work.
I will only have these children on that particular day, after school. (its my day off), and have cared for 2 of the children a year or so ago.
I spoke to Ofsted yest and he said I needed to cover the EYFS for the younger two.
I have set up a learning journal divided into 3 sections for each child. Each section has EYFS achievemtents and next steps, under the 6 areas of learning and development. Its a printable form so I can add info as and when. Got the register set up, permission slips, child record forms and a contract.
So I am thinking that covers every thing.
Will add photos/ obs as and when.
It seems a bit mad, by the time I have walked home from school, and given the children a small snack it doesn't leave much time!

Whereas if you were not already a registered childminder, you would not need to many of those things, as it's less than 2 hours a day so no registration required.

It's all a bit mad really. But I've organised my paper work to make things as easy as they can be.
It's quite likely I will be asked to have 1 or more of the children on other days and they are very sweet kids, so I don't mind.
I wont be doing daily diaries as I do with my other children, as I could spend the entire time, walking, feeding and writing!!!
But will be keeping record of acheivents or other things I feel should be noted in their "family" learning journel.
