Some of my fellow childminders do and some don't. Do you get parents to sign? I have heard conflicting information as to what OFSTED expect/ want.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Not mandatory but good practice... OFSTED inspector checked it a couple of weeks ago.

I have worked in 3 early years setings that each had a different way of doing it.
The first had 2 registers, a proper register that we filled in and a separate signing in and out sheet that the parents signed with the time

The second had just one register that we filled in with the time of arrival/departure

The third has one register that is printed every day that the parents sign on arrival/departure but doesn't record times

Ofsted told me ( 2 O/S) not necessary, and I pick up and drop off from various schools so nightmare to sort out!
