3 dcs and nanny rates

our lovely part time, live out nanny is coming back in May (I went on maternity leave last August and she left to go back to her home country to do further studies). She has asked would we have her back to which the answer is yes, she is great, kids love her etc and would be a great solution. Before I went on mat leave, she was paid £8.50 net an hour to look after dc2 from 1->3.30pm then both dc1 & dc2 from 3.30->6.45.

From May she will look after dc3 from 1.30pm->3.15 then all 3 dcs from 3.15 to 6.45. I don't expect her to do anything other than basic dc toy tidying at the end of the day and reheating meals that I have pre-prepared. I want to make sure that I am paying a fair rate to her, especially given an extra dc to look after, so would appreciate any advice on any comparable rates for central London. Thanks!

I think you're slightly underpaying her, I'd up it to £9/hour net if you can afford it. I pay current nanny £10/hour in west hampstead to look after my 3.

£8.50 net is low for central london, I assume she is newly qualified or inexperienced or lacking in UK references. She has asked to come back though so she's obviously happy with the situation. I would put it up to £9ph if you can.
