Can our nanny register with Ofsted so we can pay partly in childcare vouchers?

That's it, really. Just wondering. She's part time and wonderful, but not qualified, if that makes a difference.

The requirements to be registered with Ofsted as a nanny are;

basic core skills qualification (fairly easy to do, can be done via home learning)
First aid certificate (Ofsted approved course)
Nanny Insurance
CRB check

So if she wants to do those things, then yes she can register with Ofsted.

Nannies are part of the voluntary register and OFSTED will accept relevant experience instead of qualifications (as far as I am aware, but call them to double check: 0300 123 1231)

Yes she can indeed, and lots do. Many parents contribute toward cost x

I paid for ofsted reg so we can use vouchers. Still waiting for Ot to be confirmed but can't wait as I have a whole mat leave's. Worth of vouchers to use up!

Thanks all. Ours is about to go on mat leave so prob not up for it right now, but if childcare vouchers are still about when she's back & settled I'll talk to her about registering.
