Late pick-ups. Grr.

I have one parent who picks up late every time. I put in place a late payment policy whereby £15 per hour is charged, with a round up to the nearest half-hour (so £7.50 if even 5 mins late).

Now this parent comes at 25 past.

What to do?

Grr

I'm not sure that explaining about your son will make that much difference to her - she probably thinks that you spend all day with him anyway and if she's got something that needs to be finished then she has already proved that work comes before her own son!

Nooooooooooo

TELL her that she must pick her DC up by 6. You stop minding at 6. From 6 is your family time. 6 6. Tell you that you totally understand if she needs someone who can mind them until later and you wont be offended if she needs to find someone else, but you simply cannot have her DC still at your house after 6. End Of. Don't send out newsletters, don't give her revised late fees, don't give her the option, she's there by 6 or she needs to find alternative care.

Explaining about your son won't do anything....start the £1pm charge asap
