Nanny and Tax Credits?

I'm looking at taking a job I have been offered, full-time, to include some weekend work.
I would need a childminder if I were to work during the week only, but cannot find any childminders that cater for weekends.
Looking on the tax credits website it seems nannies can be claimed for, for how much I don't know, does anyone have any experience of this?

I think tax credits pay up to 70% of £175 (for one child) if you are on a low income. The nanny will need to be Ofsted registered though.

What country are you in and how many children do you have?

WTC5 and WTC2 documents on the HMRC website are two key documents to read about tax credits.

Nannies may not want to work weekends either. Worth a try but you may find it hard to recruit.

How many hours a week would you be needing a nanny? Would you be doing a combination of childminder during the week and nanny at the weekend?
