As a cm would this irritate you?

Just a quick question just want to make sure I'm not overstepping the mark. My ds is due his one year immunisations next week first thing. I'm at work but my plan would be to take him, get his jabs, check how he his for an hour or so afterwards and then drop him off at cm? He hasn't reacted at all to previous jabs and cm is happy to keep him if coughs/colds (even chickenpox bless her!) but do you think this is asking too much?

Obviously ideally I would stay home all day but am trying to compromise with work things. Of course if she says no, I'll cancel and arrange a time my mom could be there for the afternoon, but wanted to gauge whether this was an outrageous thing to even suggest (my ds would be her only minder all day but she would have two older ones after school)

An hour isn't long to see if he has a reaction but I looked after a boy and he was fine but a few weeks later he got a rash which they said was from the jabs, obviously you can't be off for weeks.

It wouldn't annoy me as long as you would be willing to pick them up if they do become unwell and as long as they can carry on as normal. It's upto your cm though so just ask.

Not unreasonable at all. My childminder has even taken my dc to the doctors and the dentist when it was really difficult for me to leave work. She is one in a million though.

You can only ask.

IMe if they react it usually that night or day(s) later so not sure an hour makes much odds although nice for you and ds to have that time if he is unsettled by the jab.

Thanks. I just wanted to make sure I was being completely rude. The hour was really to make sure he wasn't a grump fest afterwards. If he's unhappy at hers I'll come back for him, but I am trying to not cause too many problems at work, but if he's ill he's ill.

I'll ask her

Mine have usually comes straight to me after their jab! Fine with me as usually, as others have said, if there is a reaction is later that evening or days later.

:)
