How much should we pay a nanny for a weekend?

DH & I have been offered a weekend away (free!) No kids though (hurrah!) We've arranged for a lovely, experienced girl to look after our 2 DS's (She used to work for a friend & I've met her - she's great). Trouble is, neither of us knows what the going rate is for such a job.
DS's are 4.4 and 20 months, VERY rumbustious! She would be in sole charge from about 8am Saturday to 8pm Sunday. We have a fairly strict bedtime routine so they would be tucked up by about 7.30pm, but they do get up early (6-ish). The little one still has a nap. We live in North London - nice big house with satellite telly (she lives west London). Park nearby.

Can anyone help? I was thinking maybe £200 cash in hand???

1- Perhaps if you don't want to be seen to be picking a fight, you might like to stop shouting your very agressive words.
2- You are way out of line to be posting other people's real name on the internet without their consent. Believe you owe my lovely nanny an apology.
3- You pissed me me off when you suggested that the amount of money parents spends on childcare is a reflection of how much they do (or don't) love their children. The truth is it is a more accurate reflection of their own income.
4- I don't really want to go round back, I expected you to take that in jest.

5- Rather presumptuous of you to think that your rather unintelligent arguments here are going to render you victorious.

I havn't used my nanny overnight but we have agreed in her contract that babysitting is £4 an hour when he is asleep and £5 an hour (normal hourly rate) when he is awake.
For 8am Sat - 8pm sunday that would be £170 and if I wanted her to do that I'd offer a £50 sleepover bonus so £220 in total.

I'd offer £50 extra as he's not the best sleeper right now. If he reliably slept 7pm-6am then it might be £30.
I think i'd definitly offer a £50 bonus if shes not your usual nanny - new house etc.

I am a live in weekend nanny, working from 5.30 on a Friday until 7 on Sunday evening. I get paid £150 for the weekend. Judging by the comments on here I think I'm being underpaid??? 😔

Also, this thread is 10 years old, so add inflation into your calculations.
