How do you calculate costs of an after schooler

I was just wondering how CM's charge for a child who attends before and after school 7.15-9.00 and then 3.00-5.30 and all day 7.15-5.30 during all holidays.

How do you work out how many days the child is at school versus with you? Do you have a retainer incase the child needs collecting early for illness, school closure? Does your fee change each month or does it get calculated for an equal monthly amount?

Sorry about all the questions just pondering :)

I charge £12 for breakfast (7.30 - drop off at school)
£17 for after school (includes a drink and snack). School pick up - 5.30pm

7.30 - 5.30 (full day) is £60 or £7 per hour if they need shorter days.

term time only contracts (charge for the term, nothing for school holidays)

full year contracts (charge for every day except when I am unavailable due to my sickness or holidays)

I invoice monthly for the days the family need. I do not pick up early from school if a child is ill - I don't want poorly children here

So if i had before and after school, they would be £29 a day term time and £60 a day during school holidays (maybe slightly more taking in the fact that you are starting 15 minutes before me)

Fantastic Paula and you just work it out each month?

I work out each family's invoice at the end of each month and they pay it a month in advance on (or before) 1st of each month
