I posted before about not getting holiday pay or minimum wage etc!

I found the reason why... The parents havent got me under as their employee!

So when I tackled them about this I have been given nothing but cheek and they said when I become employed they still won't pay me holiday pay or minimum wage.

So I think I've no other choice but to leave!

Just my luck to get a bad family. Thanks for everyone who helped!

Fob them in to HMRC. They won't have been paying your tax/NI either.

Hope ypu find a lovely new family who will pay you properly.

Nope don't think they have been doing anything right!

Certainly a way of HOW NOT to treat your nanny!

On the bright side you now know to get this cleared up at interview.

They really have treated you so badly Clubfrog so I am glad you are leaving them. You will find a great family who actually treat you well! Best of luck :-)

Oh, dear!
I saw your other thread, and marked it to see how things were going.

Definitely tell the Revenue. I had a friend who was sacked (spurious reasons) and went to another job, only to find himself on emergency tax, as the original company bastards had been faking time sheets for ages, and pocketing the tax and NI.

He did have to continue on emergency tax, but had the satisfaction of knowing that he had brought the company's ill-doing back on it.

Tax and holiday pay and minimum wage laws create (a) decent living conditions and (b) a level playing field for all.
