I charge half fees for term time contracts unless I'm having time off myself. I always stress to parents that I'm available to work during the holidays.

I ask because I have had a meeting with a parent who needs me term time only and forgot to mention it, normally so good at covering things , so not sure whether to as we filled in contracts too. Its for three hours a day. Shes not due to start till the new year.

Mine cm doesn't.

It is an individual c/m thing isn't it? I charge because I'm still available for work, my parents (teachers) appreciate this. However the mindees concerned are only before school and occasionally after.

If I do a term-time only contract, then I don't charge a retainer for school holidays. I also do school-holiday-only contracts, and therefore don't charge for them during term-time.

ok thanks for replies, I have decided that I shall not charge a retainer for school holidays.
