I really do not know what to do!

At the moment I am full doing the hours that I want to do.........but I have been approached by another family to care for a 6 month old, doing more hours.....if I take this baby on I will need to give notice to three other families who use me part time (but make up a ful time week)

Not sure what to do for the best.......feel so bad thatI would let other parents down just for a better deal.........ps none on my part time parents work!!!!

What would you do?

Also had 4 other calls about work this week that I turned down, it has gone manic, but there are lots of other childminders around who sya they have NO work???

Oh Booh - what an awful decision

Is there anyway you could ask the existing parents is they are prepared to up their pay to cover what you might lose by keeping them?

I would keep the varying children myself as if baby leaves you have no income - but understand that F/T income is better

Could the existing parents change their hours so it will all fit in?

To be honest, even though it would mean more money for you, there is no way I could give notice to all the other families. If they make up a full-time space between them, how much difference would it make? I'd want to keep their goodwill!!

Do all the other families look as though they are fairly long-term? If they are all going to leave to take up funded nursery places or whatever in the forseeable future, it would be nice for you to know as that could make a difference.

I would deffo keep the families you have otherwise you may get a bad reputation for dumping families

Unless the money is more important to you

Hello

Thanks for the advice as always!

My part-timers do no make up a full time place, so financially the difference is quite a lot! Also I would save loads of time on paper work if I only had one child! and I found out last night that one little boys family have just sold their house and are relocating, so he will be leaving!

Maybe I could get Ofsted to up my numbers again, I have been registered for four under five.

No idea what to do, there are not even any childminders that I could recommend around here (there are some awful ones!!!)
