Childminders - what do you do about your own children having their friends over

im planning on becoming a CM soon and was wondering what you do about your children having their friends over esp if you are full up to your numbers? thanks

Any of your childrens friends would count in your numbers if they are aged under 8 years. I overcame this by minding my girls bestfriends!

Good idea Kcemum! Another question is how often do you think it is fair to let your childrens friends come round?

Luckily, I don't have this problem as my children are approaching their 20s! I do, however, sometimes come downstairs and find lots of teenagers asleep on the sitting room floor (not a childminding room, thankfully!!)

When they were younger, they were allowed to have friends home if I had space to transport them back, and if it didn't take me over my legal numbers. They preferred to invite themselves to their friends' houses instead (a much better solution!)

my kids are 8 and 6 they have friends over once a week.My 6yr old counts in the nos but i only mind for 1or 2 so i have more time for my kids.I also take my dd to a swimming lesson,taking my mindee with me.I also help at their school,doing reading or going swimming with them.Just try to keep everyone happy.
