Help from childminders needed!

I have two children, one toddler and a baby. When I go back to work, my mother is keen to look after them one day a week (which she used to do with my eldest). However, she is worried that two children for a long day might be a bit much so I offered to pay someone to help her look after them. I want her to enjoy the time she has with them. Question is: am I likely to be able to find someone who is willing to work only one day a week, at my house, with no children other than mine? And where should I look as it isn't really childminding (as it is at my house)?

Someone working at your house, is not a childminder.
It would be a 1 day a week, non-sole charge nanny job, where the nanny is assisting your mother.
There are nannies around who work 3 or 4 days a week and are looking for work which fits around that.

Pay wise all the usual nanny things will apply (PAYE as it's a second job most likely, employee rights, subject to National Minimum Wage). You could look for people on Childcare.co.uk, NannyJob and other job listing sites.
