What should I pay her??

I need to try and work a day a week due to difficult financial situation. DC2 is 2.5yo and I would like to ask a friend to have her. I would pay her of course. My work is not gaurateed so I don't want/can't afford to get a CM to do a day a week as I might end up paying her when there's no work.

My friend has a 4mth old DD. She is great with my DD (who's not a difficult kid to look after) and I know she'd do a great job, (she has older DCs at school so is used to toddlers!)

The question is, what should I offer to pay her? It would be from 9-5 on a week day. Obviously I don't want to take the pee, but on the other hand it needs to be worth my while working. I take home just under £90 for a days work. WWYD?

Where would the care be provided? There could be legal complications in you paying them money to care for your child.

The Childcare (Exemptions from Registration) (Amendment) Order 2010 - states how you could have your friend care for your child at her [your friend's] home. The key being that you don't pay them using Money.
