how much extra do you pay your nanny if she's looking after two children?

Hello,

I'm hopefully having a second baby in November (only 8 weeks gone so don't want to get tooo ahead of myself). We have a nanny who looks after DD 2 days a week and she's said she'd be fine in principle looking after two.

I was wondering whether you normally pay a bit more and if so how much? At the moment she's on 9.50/hour net (we pay NI etc)

Thanks!

My nanny started with two and ended up with four😂 No pay rises for children volume but have increased pay for cost of living etc.

You don’t need to pay more , but a small cost of living increase would be helpful to keep a good nanny

when I used a nanny, I was so happy to see how happy and settled my children were that I basically would have crawled over hot coals for her!

So absolutely yes I would. I’d go from £9.50 to £11
