Just a silly question i know, Sorry if far tmi:

Basically since yesterday i have felt crampy, very slightly nauseous then this morning i have had two case of the runs (sorry ) and have had none since 9.30am, rung mindees of the toddler i look after she was fine and not having him today.
I am due to have two older children from the same family 3 till 6 including a meal, i did ring their mum to tell her how i was feeling and she started asking q's like had i been up all night with it which i hadn't i was that tired that i don't think anything would have woken me lol. Anyway she said to ring her if i got worse and that she would sort something else out. I feel alright in myself but feel very uncomfortable in the abdo area as if it could all start again. So not sure what to do at the moment. DH said he will come home to cook their tea if i still have them.

My grammar is dreadful. Sorry about change of name but i sometimes i feel i am asking such daft q's - i get embarrassed v.v. easily

Don't be embarrassed about asking daft questions, we all do it
Iwould ring her again and explain it how you have on here, if you feel able to look after the girls and she is willing for you to then I would.
After all if you've been truthfull an they come down with it then it's not your fault, but don't feel pressurised into having them if you don't feel well enough and she can make other arrangements.

I done a food hyg course recently and it said basically on there if you have sqitty bum you shouldnt be making food if you have the children at all. Best if you are taking them to get dh to make the tea.

Thanks for replies i am revealing who i am just felt abit daft at time of post, i know i don't post on here often and don't know why i remained anon.
I did explain it how i have on here and I also told her that it prob best if i didn't make tea for them and she agreed.

I am going to take them, they are 9yrs so no clost contact like nappy changes and cuddles etc. Plus its only for 3hrs.
Spoken to dh and hes going to come home earlier to make tea for them as i feel its too long for them to go without having anything to eat - i'll prob have to stand there and tell him what to do in detail though.

I've so rarely taken time off sick because I know how much it mucks families around. I bet most of us have struggled through a day when, if we were doing a Grown-Up Job, we wouldn't have gone to work!

Hiya, went to pick the mindees up and there was only one the other had got sent home from school with the same thing. Dh came home early just aswell as i was feeling worse but he made a fab roast dinner everyone, i only had a little.

I hardly ever taken time off work with illness i havn't had any time off since i had my tonsils out nearly 2yrs ago,I also did not take one day off when i was pregnant when i was a auxillary nurse, i'm the type that would work with a leg hanging off but today wasn't sure with it being a tummy bug plus with something they said on icp.

So resorted to letting parents know and then they had the decision whether to send the mindees or not.
