I'd tell her she has to pay £22 as she is technically using two sessions but I'm not a CM so I'm not sure!

GoldFrakkincenseAndMyrrh · 21/12/2010 08:57

I'd say child is coming in over 2 sessions and taking up a space so she pays the full cost of whichever session. They're separate 5 hour slots, not 5 hours at any time for £11.

I'd also say you'd appreciate it if she let you know about running early/late when she does drop off (with a smile) and say you like to be able to plan ahead a little/get out and about which you can't do if you're waiting for a child and early drop-offs can cause problems with your ratios.

She sounds a bit thoughtless/like she's got the wrong end of the stick somewhat but better to nip it in the bud.

I think £11 for 5 hours is unbelievable! You are v generous, would charge £20 per session.

Danthe4th · 21/12/2010 18:44

Snap I wouldn't do it for less than £20 as well.

thebody · 21/12/2010 18:50

I would definatly put your prices up!!! you must be the cheapest by a mile so cash in!!

secondly as Gold says mumeither flaky or takin the piss.. either way be firm. tell her the times are set times and she cant piss around like this...

and maybe did you get payment up front?? is shes a player then she may be a bad payer( not meant to make that a poem)

dmo · 21/12/2010 21:40

looneytune · 23/12/2010 15:22

You are ALL mad!!! Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/12/2010 17:40

Then you all need to raise your fees

leeloo1 · 24/12/2010 11:27

OMG, how many children do you need to have to make a living at those rates? Or is it because they are 'extra' school age children, so its all bonus money in addition to your regular littlies?

I'd agree that you should charge the mother a full day's fees as she has used 2 1/2 day spaces. I also agree that you should all charge more. :)

Berryred · 28/12/2010 18:14

how did it go in the end?
