i have sublings i care for 6yrs and 23 months after a lot of thinking i have decided i have to let them go as its un setting my own children . youngest is fine no problem its the elder ,disruptive, dangerouse behaviour ect. basically child care started a couple of hours after school at a discounted rate as a favour due to debt now its 4 days after school and 2 full days ,parents dont want to acknowledge the bad behavour and tensions are rising ,they bring the children 15 mins early every day and arrive late for pick up ,they argue and dictate the contract when suits . but if i finish this contract aparently they cant afford alternative child care so he would pack his job in. on the other side she has said that they have got this new connect for xmas and she is walking around in ugg boots, please advice and how to word it ( sorry about grammer i find it really dificult)

Write a short letter simply stating that you have decided to give notice under the terms of contract and that the last day on which you will provide care is x (give the date).

You don't need to give a reason. If asked you could say it's personal circumstances (your children are being affected, so that's true).

Probably best to say in the letter that a final invoice will be provided (at whatever point you usually do invoicing) and give a date for when that invoice must be paid.

The amount of advance notice you need to provide will be in the contract you agreed with the parents.

End the letter by saying something like: I have enjoyed caring for x and y and I wish you every success in finding alternative care.
