Hi there,
We are looking for a nanny to look after our son who is 13 months in Battersea from asap until end of March? Hours will be 3 days a week from 8-5. Ideally Mon-Wed, Thurs or Tues, Wed, Thurs but we could maybe change days. He is a really lovely smiley little boy and loves people.
Our second little boy is due end of March and we are then looking to swop to a mothers help for 9-2 each day from Mon-Thurs whilst I am on maternity leave. This would involve a bit of cooking/cleaning/and taking our older son out and about as much as possible so he is not too cooped up inside. Ideally this would be the same person but understand as both jobs are quite different this may not be possible. If you have lots of experience in looking after young babies and are interested please get in touch. We are a very relaxed family and would love to find someone who we get on really well with and who can become part of the family!

Hiya

Organising childcare is a really big decision. When went back to work 3 days a week I decided that a nanny was the best option for me too as I wanted someone that I could trust looking after my kids who are 5 and 3. I used an agency because I wanted to make sure that all the right checks had been done. The agency I used was Norma Lewis Domestic Staff (check out the website www.normalewisdomesticstaff.co.uk) and I found the lady that ran the agency was really helpful as she found exactly the right person to fit in with my family.
Good luck with the pregnancy!! :)

Gosh, that sounds a little bit like an ad. Hmm

I would steer well clear of agencies, personally. They charge an arm and a leg and often provide very little (if any) value.

I think you are asking for a lot here, actually. Part time, live out, short tterm contract. Maybe an out of work nanny might take it on to fill her time until she finds a more permanent role. But, of course anything is possible. I'd put an add in nannyjob and any local ad boards (netmums, gumtree, local paper) and see what comes up.

And I do think you will probably be looking for a different candidate to fill the mother's help role. But, that person, might then be suitable to slot into nanny when you back to work after maternity leave. So, that's probably worth considering when you hire for that position.
