Do I need to panic and quickly catch up on my paperwork or will she just be there to offer advice, or will she give me a big bollocking for being behind. I could quickly catch up on it tonight but Im feeling rotten so dont have the energy.

If she's just the local network coordinator, them she should be coming just to give you some advice and answer any questions. You don't have to have her to your home, unless it is some kind of condition of your network. Make the most of her, she might have some good ideas.

Skightly hi-jacking - OP, have the same issue. My council childminding adviser (CCA) was very negative when she came round for her pre-registration visit - and almost put me off. Then the Ofsted inspector came for her pre-reg visit and was lovely - as was another Ofsted inspector when she came for the actual inspection!
Before my inspection, I contacted my CCA to say I had an inspection in 3 wks, just letting her know as I know other childminders' CCAs would come and do a mini inspection run-through... she just said 'oh, you don't have to tell me, will hear from Ofsted re your inspection result'.

Now, after a positive inspection, suddenly, she wants to visit me! I asked why. And she said she can't recommend me to interested parents unless she has visited me herself. I said I was fully booked, so didn't really need any recommendations at the moment. Blackmail! She insisted on visiting me, and said she'd want to see my SEP, my EYFS observations and planning. At which point, I felt a bit bullied, and very cross - so I asked her whether I was legally required for her to visit me? It all went quiet...

Woahthere, good luck with the visit, let us know how it went.

me thinks these jobs may go in the cuts...

and as much as i wouldnt wish that on anyone.. i fail; to see why my taxes should pay for this useless job tbh.. as a cm i can function quite well without their 'support'

.. i run a business.. what do they do.. ???wouldnt give them house room . you dont have to have them in your house/life/ business/ so dont...

Oh my lordy, she was here for 3 1/2 hours...thats longer than my first inspection
was , and she was mega thorough. I thought it wouldnt take that long. I was looking after 2 x 3 year old and an 8 month old, the 2 x 3 year olds basically ran complete riot whilst we were doing it, I did of course get up every now and then, check on them, make their snack, had to amuse baby on my knee, make lady a cup of tea, give a bottle to baby, give occasional bollockings to 3 year olds who were vaulting over my sofa on top of the lady, hee hee, arranged teddy bear picnics, colouring etc. It was so hard work, I felt really bad that I spent basically no time looking after the children because I was sat going through a ridiulous amount of paperwork with her. Dont get me wrong, she is nice and all, but I find it so deeply sad that it is ALL about paperwork nad making sure im covered for when Ofsted come. What I would like my network coordinator to do is come round and give me practical advice, ask if Im doing ok, if I have any concerns about any children, give advice based on experience. I was really worried as well she would judge me and spent parts worrying I was doing the wrong thin, E.g: I had to take the baby up to bed for a sleep and leave the 2 x 3 year old down with her and I was shitting myself thinking...'Im not sure if I shopuld have done that , she might be thinking bad of me that I did do that' I dont know, because I do sort of know her and she is a childminder herself and I didnt spend more than 2 minutes upstairs, also I could hear them but still...anyway, I suppose she did tell me a few things I didnt know, I also told her a few things SHE didnt know.
