Hi

I have a big operation next year on the NHS, but wont have much notice of when it will be. It will make it very difficult to care for my baby for about a month.

I know quite a few childminders I would trust my baby with, but I was wondering...

If you had availability, would you take on a child even if you knew it would be very short term?

Or is it something else I need, such as a mother's help?

Any advice appreciated!

Well if they have a space then logically, yes, because it's filling the space and they can always say to parents looking when the space will become available. When you say baby is it an under 1 space?

And will you be able to take them to the CM or would a temp nanny coming to your house be a better option?

I would if I had space available

x-post!

A mother's help might be what you need as they'll do childcare and any lifting you can't plus some chores and cooking....
