Farewell gift to nanny (share)

Hello - I have searched the boards but could still do with some more advice. We are moving out of London so have to say goodbye to our lovely nanny, who has looked after our daughter in a nanny share for the last two years for two days a week. I had thought about a gift (necklace? nice luxurious scarf?) and a framed picture of our daughter. But searching on the internet it seems that many people give cash gifts or vouchers up to half a months' salary? I don't want to be stingy but the move is already costing us an arm and a leg... Thanks in advance!

What about a voucher for spa treatments, a massage and a facial or something like that, to make her feel pampered? I like getting stuff like that as I don't pay for treats for myself as it feels too indulgent iyswim? Receiving them is soooooo much nicer Grin
And then a nice bottle of wine and some chocs to enjoy after, and a lovely framed photo of your dd?

I have a mug which a child drew on (it was then glazed I guess), which has now lasted 11 years and is still in use.

I like having something long lasting, which can be used everyday - something practical. Thus a mug with a child's drawing on it is great.

I am very lucky that both families, I have worked for have given me thoughtful gifts.

The first family used to always have orchid plants, which I always really liked. I must have mentioned this as that is what I was given, along with some chocs and lovely letters from my charges.

I have just recently left a family, and the children both chose me a gift each with the help of mb. She told them I was going to New York for christmas, so my charges chose a New York guide book and a hat! I was also given a digital photo frame, with a note that said hope these come in handy for your trip.
