Oh my god, never thought this would be an issue. We're about to move (early November) into our new house where I will be childminding from. Have just been turned down by Morton Michel because the house is too near water (there is a stream in front of the house) and none of their providers will touch us. Towergate have turned us down because we've had a claim over £1000 in the last 5 years (we were broken into last month in this house that we're in the process of selling, completing Tuesday). I'm waiting for a call from Bluefin, but I'm not hopeful. It appears that regular insurance providers won't touch you if you're childminding. Does anyone know a company that might cover me?
This is a major major problem for us at this moment!
