Looking for SHORT TERM childcare following a c-section

Hello, I am friendly, easy going Muswell Hill mum looking for childcare support for a short period of time to look after my three year old daughter while I recover from a c-section.

The hours would be from 11.45am - 6pm, Monday - Friday for one-three weeks depending on how my recovery goes, from December 1st. However, it is likely I would want ongoing support for a day or two per week, after this.

We would pay £7 per hour, plus cover any playgroup costs etc. I would also be looking for someone with a current CRB check.

Duties would include:

Pick up from Our Lady of Muswell Nursery at 11.45
Preparing lunch for mum and toddler
Taking toddler out for the afternoon to park, playgroup etc
Helping out with the newborn if needs be
Some cleaning

If you are interested, please contact Jenny on 07788716263.

Thanks so much,

Jenny

www.doula.org.uk

By the sounds of things, you could really do with a postnatal doula...

good luck with your search. i know how hard it is to have a c-section and have other children to look after. hope all goes well.

I have to say that I don't think that you are offering enough money for what is a short-term temp position with quite a lot of responsibility (looking after a toddler). I would be very interested to know whether you get any takers at this rate. Good luck with the C-Section though - hope all goes well.

i also think you are not offering enough money esp as its really only half a day so wages will be just over £42 a day and it will be very hard for that person to find a morning job to earn extra pennies

you may need to bite the bullet (so to speak) and pay a higher hourly rate or increase hours and have someone all day and maybe cook some meals and freeze them for you/do some ironing/cleaning etc then again many nannies wont iron/clean

You need a mothers helper I think :)

You should be able to find someone
post on netmums, gumtree etc and generally ask around

this type of role will suit a student maybe or a Mum

You could try Sitting Pretty Babysitters but I'm not sure if it's within their remit. You could call and ask. Smile
