I am looking at the one in Tettenhall, Wolverhampton but I have a child with Autism. Just wondered what the pros and cons are, if any.

My son did super camps Wimbledon last year in the summer for 3 weeks and was not keen. The people were nice but they did lots of games which in the end he found repetitive and not enough activities. This year he did Camp Beaumont and loved it. DS is 7 nearly 8

They are only from 7+ aren't they? And if you're not in London I think they are residential.

Not residential and you can go from 4 -5

Do you know of an internet link? I can only find info on 7+ year olds.

As far as I can see only London do day camps from 3+. Everywhere else is residential for 7+?

The one in Cheltenham is non residential and takes from 4 I think. We used them for a few years but use kings camps now as they seem more professional. The staff at supercamps were very casual and once the manager took a dislike to ds1 she made his life hell. He had really enjoyed it up until then

Does your local YMCA do a summer camp? The one local to here does one specifically for children with autism/learning disabilities called Yippee club. I've worked for camp beaumont in the past, and they are not keen on having disabled children without a helper. I hope you find something!

I used a London-based one a couple if years ago; it was alright and the DCs liked it.

It helps if you think of it as a playscheme (aiming to provide good childcare for working families: somthing it succeeds in) rather than an activities-focussed camp.
