Please tell me it's true that thing I've heard, that once I start working, 80% of the nursery costs will be paid. Otherwise, just throw a cheeseburger at me and keep walking ^.

That depends!

I assume you're referring to tax credits? Will you be eligible for them (working 16 hours a week and within the income bracket).

It's not a full 80%, it's 80% up to a certain amount but still a significant amount.

If you have one child, then max weekly help you can get is £140 per week. That's 80% of £175 (£175 being the maximum weekly claim amount).
It goes up if you have 2 children, but does not then increase if you have more children.
