Need a childminder for my 2yo and 4yo. Would like them to start at 730- 8am and drop off 4yo at preschool at 9am and 2yo at nursery for just after 9am - 2 days a week.
I would collect the 2yo at the end of the day at 6pm but want the childminder to collect 4yo at 1pm and look after til I or dp get home at 6.
hope someone can help. hope this makes sense as 2 kids are hanging off me and my computer.

It depends, would the childminder be on call all day for both children, and regarding the pre school, what happens in the holidays.

All minders are different, a prices vary around the country.

You will probably have to pay while the LO is at nursery - this will be retaining the space during the holidays, covering the minders ratios etc etc.

It might be worth checking with FIS for local prices. Have a look on Netmums for local minders. www.childcare.co.uk and also www.childmindingforum.co.uk

I don't think you are talking about a Registered Childminder. Sounds more like you are talking about a Nanny.

A nanny would come to your home and care for your children there. They would be able to take your children to nursery/pre-school.

So... I would suggest you first clarify if you are really looking for a Childminder, or a Nanny. Where would you be wanting the childcare to take place... at your home, or at someone else's home?

I would charge:

2year old as £6.50 for those few hours and the drop off.
4year old as £33 for a whole day as I could not fill the morning time. (But could offer free education if child stayed with me instead of using a preschool which would save you £10 per day).

So that is aprox £40 each day.
