Changing babysitter

I know this probably sounds a bit trivial, but I don't want to make an idiotic mistake or offend anyone.

Anyway, we have a babysitter we use about once every three months for odd nights out etc. She was DS's key worker in the baby room at his nursery, but as he's moved on, he hasn't actually seen her for 18 months (he's always been asleep when she arrives). She's also a bit odd - 6 months ago she asked to borrow £20, and last week she asked to borrow my hair straighteners. I ignored both texts, but I suppose they were a bit more familiar / needy than perhaps I was expecting.

Anyway, mainly because DS hasn't seen her for so long and he's being a bit funny at night (wakes with night terrors fairly regularly) we were going to try and get another one, ideally from DS's nursery so that he knows her (and we know she's fully CRB checked etc). I don't want to upset the old one though - how do I go about this without upsetting anyone?

Any tips?

Just don't make any more bookings with her. If she calls or texts to ask why you are no longer using her then just say that your son is having night terrors at the moment and you felt he needed someone he was used to seeing. It's not as if you use her that much.

hopefully shes got the hint :)

if you havent used her fora while and ignore her texts then just dont use her again

and if you use someone from the nursery you can ask them not to mention they are bs for you

Eek - is it at all possible she mixed you up with someone else in her phone book?
