As per the subject, I'm in London. I've been in touch with the localcouncil, understand more will be told during the info session, but they are not on for a while so any info in the meantime would be much appreciated.

TIA!

have a look on

www.childmindingforum.co.uk

Training:
you will need the ICP /DHC- which I believe has now been renamed to CYPOPs unit whichever - its an introduction to childcare practice. Or the the LA eqivilent

12hr pedeatric first aid course
CRB for yourself and anyone over the age of 16 living on the premises#
medical declaration
and thats the initial start up training.

Requirements:
you will register with Ofsted
have insurance - public liability/car use etc
you will need to register with environmental health
register with the tax man
Prepare your documentation

all of this you will be told about when you go to pre-reg (will be given the forms if you decided to go ahead)

its always a good idea to research your local area - how many minders already in the area and prices etc
getting your house ready

the process can take anywhere between

good luck
