PLANNING

Just been informed that I have to get planning permission for my registration to go through. Planning dept reacon that this can take up to 8 weeks. Anyone know about this sort of thing or any ways around it?

As there are going to be 2 childminders working from my house, we've been approved for 7 children. If I was only registered for 6 would it make any difference? HELP! I was hoping to get started soon!

Busy atm - but will get back to you later...I know loads about this (unfortunatley)

May have to dive off but here goes

If you childmind up to 6 children (usually including any over 8's - depending on your council) you DO NOT need PP

If you wish to childmind over 6 children when you are initially registered OFSTED will ask to see your PP

If you need PP you need "change of use" which cost me £220 & it will take a while

If you work together OFSTED is likely to ask to see your PP at any subsequent inspections, but they might not

Any other Q?

Thanks for that v. useful.

I've asked OFSTED to only register us for 6 now, so hopefully that will do the trick!
