how old is LO? how long has he been trained for?

Lots of children don't like doing a poop on the toilet - it can be a funny sensation and noise. Some children just don't feel 'safe' using the loo.

Perhaps using a potty or the potties that look like mini-loos would still be advisable so that it encourages him to not use his pants.

He will get it in his own time though.

She is about 33 months old. This year I think not exactly sure.

Anyone had to deal with this?

Quite normal, does she tend to go at the same time each day, you could try sitting on a potty after meals and snack.
I went through a stage with one of mine that would only go at home and would go after breakfast so we had to stay at home until they went until he was confident going.
Some people put a nappy back on when they haven't been for a while, or line a potty with one.
I would be reluctant to use a star chart as its just an extra pressure to perform.
Just lots of encouragement, it will happen.

and don't make a big fuss - lots of reassurance and calm changing of the soiled pants with as much privacy as possible. Sometimes putting paper in the loo 1st can help as it deadens the splash. My dd potty trained about the same age but wouldn't poo on the loo, only in a nappy. She would get awful constiaption as she forced herself not to go, and was in terrible pain. I'm afraid we did resort to bribery - sitting on potty with nappy on, then with nappy lining potty & so on with choc buttons as a reward. Not ideal or necessarily something I would recommend but one day she just sat on the loo and performed & been fine ever since.
She'll get there I'm sure, just keep being patient
