CM Club: Storage issues

I sadly do not have a play room my entire ground floor and dds bedroom is relegated for c/m purposes and essentially has taken over the house.

I need to organise my daughters bedrooms. At present I am using it as a play room so there are boxes of various toys, a car box, dressing up box etc etc you get the idea. I need more stacking type storage/boxes so the entire room isn't all over the place.

And any advice on how to be able to "put away" c/m on the weekends? I have artwork all over the dining room, pictures, posters, certificates... it's a mess and looks a mess. I need to have the inbetween of nursery and home.. help?

Tricky one. I know I am very lucky to use a separate room. I do not have displays of mindees artwork. I take a photo of it and send it home with them. Easier for me to store and nice for their parents to see. Not many other ideas I'm afraid, as I have a huge set of shelves, stacked with toy boxes.

have 5 of these they take just about everything, I took the wheels off and stacked them one 3 high, one 2 high, bolted together.

I have two big pin boards in the hall way one ith all relevent paperwork on, one with the art of the week on, I change it every Friday from that weeks stuff, take photos for eyfs and send home.

I had the same problem as you and invested in a garden shed for all the boxes, I bring in a selection on monday then it all goes back out when I finish for the week.
I also use these which I display my certificates, some photos and bits of artwork www.yellowmoon.org.uk/src/ADWORDS/product-Kids-A4-Artwork-Wall-Hanger-K859.htm
I also use the children centre and toddler groups in the mornings and I find I don't have to have so much stuff and am slowley clearing out.
I also use a small box system which displays a small amount of duplo, cars etc in each box, if the children choose to play with it I can always go and get the big boxful in the shed, so the children always have a large choice, some childminders use a photo album to display toys stored away.

I have the same (unresolved) issue. I don't find the small bits so bad (although they are growing) as I have Trofast storage and also the ikea understairs metal shelves that take heaps (with big boxes stacked next to them too - too many toys!!!) but the wheely things - pushalong/ride-on trucks & carts etc - drive me mad, because which you can't pack them away! :(

I really like the idea of a c/m shed. We don't have a massive garden and we are playing with the idea of selling the house otherwise I would have gone straight for this. Will keep that in mind for future!

I have found a couple of cheapish book/toy storage units. And will get some pin boards to take up and down. I just get sick of it all being all over the place. I am in year 4 of this so it's been overdue!

Thanks for everyone's input - what a help

my cm used to make really good use of the toy library. Her youngest dc was at school so she didn't have masses of her own supply of toys for little ones.

Art work always came home with dd; and anything else she had made/grown/created!
