Hi its me again.

I am taking on a little one who will be about 12 months, nearing the at the end of this year. Just interested to know what baby euipment you have provided for the parents?

Do some parents prefer to bring their own stuff from home ie buggy?

Do you have all inclusive in your price (sounds like a holiday Grin)?

I find that parents providing food works well for me as I have children with different taste buds, also it saves on time spent cooking from scratch.

I provide all equipment. I have single, double and triple buggies, tons of car seats of various sizes, a couple of high chairs, toddler tables and loads of other stuff.

Yes, I'm all inclusive (nappies, wipes, snacks, meals, outings, sun cream etc)

I WISH I had parents provide me with food but parents round here tend to prefer the childminder to cook so......

Around here the rates are all hourly and all net. I have only ever charged by the hour so am pleased that I am not out of line with what the the "norm" is in this locality. All of the things you mention are provided by the parent (all food, sun creams, nappies etc.) There may be some that charge a higher rate and include certain things but parents like to know exactly what they are paying for - the childcare plus the extras...........

I provide everything, cot, pushchair, car seat, bottles, formula milk, food, nappies, etc. However some parents like to send first weaning food, or bottles, or breast milk, which is fine by me.

I provide equipment like buggies, car seats, high chairs etc. But I ask parents to supply a daily bag with change of clothes nappies etc and a packed lunch, it's always worked well for me.

Do you choose to have parents provide food because of your busy routine or because you are aware of the varying taste buds?

Looking back I realise that parents providing food has worked better for me bacause I have four kids of my own and also because the way in which I prepare food and cook it may be very different to that of the parents. Its just easier to work with whatever is with the child on arrival. More than likely that is what the child likes.

I would prefer not to have to cook meals from scratch for all the childminded children. Some childminders do not mind that.

I do provide snack or do cooked food if necessary.

Its interesting to see the differences in what we do. I guess its what your comfortable with.

I guess this is reflected in what we charge.

Are some parents demanding in what they expect you to provide?

I think my charges are okay, I would however charge more if parents wanted me to provide more...

I provide all equipment plus meals. I ask the parents to provide nappies, wipes, sun cream and changes of clothes. I wish that I didn't provide meals as I cook these in my own time.

hennipenni do you change a bit more for including meals etc. Some minders are undercharging parents.
