CMs - Michel Morton Vs NCMA

Hi. Membership due very soon so need to decide pretty quick whether or not to renew with NCMA.

Been thinking for a while that NCMA is not good value for money anymore and that maybe I'd be better off switching but I need a little more confidence. So a few questions:

  1. How much is their membership or do they not have that?

  2. I know their insurance covers legal costs BUT what are their legal team like?

  3. I'm definitely likely to need some legal help against Ofsted soon and NCMA have already agreed there is stuff they can do to help but I've no idea what Michel Morton would be like? Would you say I'm better sticking with NCMA this time round?

Any other comments about this appreciated. Thanks

There isn't a membership fee for MM - just your premium.

I've never had experience of MM's legal team - do they offer the same sort of support as NCMA or is it just contract disputes? If NCMA have agreed to help you that could be worth an awful lot more money that a membership renewal.

I'd stick with NCMA and move next year if your difficulties with Ofsted are sorted.

You could give MM a call and ask about their legal advice.

Thanks, I was just coming on to post and say I emailed and they quickly replied and although usually they'd be able to help, they wouldn't be able to in this case as can only assist with this that arise 90 days after taking the insurance out. So I'm sticking with NCMA because of this situation but will change next year, just like you advised.

Thanks
