Hi, have posted in nurseries about whether to change but just wondered...

I'm a nursery manager thinking of putting my child with a child minder, would my job put you off (would you think i was going to be hard work?)

Honest answers?

Wouldnt put me off - infact, it would be reassuring to know that you are aware of the work we have to do as cms!! I look after a teachers child, have looked after a lecturer's child as well - I treat all paretns the same . Have been lucky not to have had any that were 'hard work' - yet!!!

I have a police officer, prison officer and a teacher as parents, I definitely make sure I cross T's and dot I's .

As someone has mentioned, if anything they have more understanding of the bureaucracy that goes with this job.

my little one is 2 yrs, he did settle at nursery eventually but has moved rooms and now hates it, will give him a few weeks to see if it settles but cannot stand hearing him cry and not going to him!

I like to think i'm not hard work just wondered how childminders felt. Thinking about it though i have teachers children and their parents are great to work with.

Thanks all

I look after a pre school teacher's child and like the others have said, she is much more appreciative of the paperwork and risk assessments I have to do. Not a problem for me.
