Multipla! HUGE boot and 6 full seats with loads of legroom

elliephant · 13/07/2010 10:06

Hyundai Trajet was best of all the many ( multipla, grandis, zafera, ML, Santa Fe) I've driven over the years in terms of value and space - could fit two double buggies and shopping in deep boot.

BONGO!!!!!!!

ViveLaFrak · 13/07/2010 10:11

My parents Espace did 100,000+ miles and only broke down once in 10 years.

My all-time fave (for ease of parking) was the Voyager but that's expensive.

sethstarkaddersmum · 13/07/2010 10:18

Mitsubishi Grandis has a lot of boot space behind the third row of seats and is cheap.

KaoticKittty · 13/07/2010 10:43

I'm with Seeker - get a bongo. Loads of room, 8 seats including driver, will take a disabled buggy in the boot as well as all the people, seats fold down to a bed, and can be removed. It's not particularly pretty but it has its own charm plus you get to wave to other bongo owners!

MrsPW · 13/07/2010 11:10

I have an older chrysler voyager and it's excellent! The only downside is that parts can be harder to source for it but the previous owner had sussed out all the places to find them, so we are okay.
It has 7 proper seats(2, 2 and 3 at the back) and they can be removed easily. I can fit a double and a single buggy in the boot, plus some shopping.

friend of mine just bought a 7yr old VW T4 (Caravelle) It is HUGE There is bags of space in the boot. Yes its more a van/mini bus than a car but you can pck soooooo much stuff in there and theres still plenty of room to swing a cat[grin.

chabbychic · 15/07/2010 19:43

Toyota Previa - can't buy them new now but they are just wonderful.

shoshe · 15/07/2010 19:53

Seeker I have a mazda bondo, best CM car I have ever had! 8 seats and can get a double and single buggy in the boot.

madamebovine · 15/07/2010 19:54

Love our Renault Grand Scenic. Economical but roomy.

raindroprhyme · 15/07/2010 19:58

can't put car seats in the back row of the vw caravelle. just for information.

Maisiethemorningsidecat · 15/07/2010 20:02

Our Alhambra is just fab - it's a big, black diesel thingie, got all the fancy bits you need/want and I love it. We have the elder two DC's on separate rows to stop them fighting. Bliss. 7 proper seats and tons of room inside.

FourArms · 15/07/2010 21:26

We've got a VW Sharan, which is v.similar to the Alhambra and the Ford Galaxy.

It's brilliant. Not much room in the boot, but you could get a single buggy in there. There is also plenty of footwell space.

The bonus for me is that they have built in car seats, so you can have the seats as either an adult seat, a 9m plus five point harness or a booster seat. There is also a removable head support. I have two of these convertible seats in my car, but you could have up to five of them.

fiat ulyesses, 8 seater, big boot and mine has just died ( had ut for 6 years!) and had done over 180k miles and passed its MOT for the last 3 years with no prbs! cam belt finally gave up the ghost and damaged the engine!
