Throwing up before transition - how long before

When in labour with DS I threw up about 45 mins before the pushing contractions started. Is this a normal length of time? Or was it longer/shorter for other people.... I'm trying to make some notes for DC2's birth!!!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

lol, i threw up at about 3pm (had been in labour since 6am) and he wasn't born until just before 6 the following morning.

didn't throw up at all with dc3 (also vbac). dd1 was cs and i threw up whilst they were rootling about. (not relevant emoticon>

I wasn't sick but retched a fair bit about an hour before ds was born, was still at home - mws insisting I wasnt in labour! Vaguely remember shouting "I'm gonna puke!" whilst pushing but was never actually sick

Thanks for your replies - very interesting.. FWIW I'm still a bit [mmm] that I was sent home by the hospital after throwing up... I'm convinced that they should have let me stay. But that said I wouldn't have done so much grumpy walking if he hadn't....
